Our international award-winning Crazy Kiwi Christmas Kids Show has delighted kids and grown-ups alike on Christmas Day for many years now - and just keeps getting better!
CRAZY KIWI CHRISTMAS KIDS SHOW
Our 2020 Crazy Kiwi Christmas Kids Show was Jumanji meets Frozen meets Wreck It Ralph - The Christmas Quest. We joined our hosts Bjorn Brickell, Leanna Cooper and eight-year-old Eden Bloore on their journey through magical lands (Winter Wonderland, Lollyland, Fairytale Forest and Whoville) on the search for the keys they needed to escape the game - all accompanied by Santa (played by Daryl Habraken), of course!
The show was written and directed by Grace Bucknell, with input from Phil Guyan. The pre-recorded segments were recorded at The Voice Box recording studio in Ponsonby, Auckland, and mixed by the incomparable Phil Yule.
On Christmas morning, our hosts piled into Newstalk ZB's studios at 5.30am and we were live on air from 6-9am, moving between our pre-recorded segments and live phone calls with kids up and down the country.
